Guided fly fishing for Pike


The Pike are now really chasing the flies and this one gave everything in the fight. Stripped me down to the backing on the first run and then jumped about 5 or 6 times what a fish. Safely returned to fight another day.

Pike Fly Fishing - Private Loch


So the water has started to warm up and as the trout are down deep staying out of the sun it was time for the Pike on the fly !!


Had a box full of various bait fish patterns and couldn't wait to try them out. I love pike fishing on the fly especially when you can see the pike chasing your fly right to the boat. This is my best so far in 2021 but hopefully a bigger one is in the weed somewhere!!!

Wild Fish - Loch Leven, Scotland

Lovely fish of about 4lb returned to fight another day.

Another fantastic trip to Loch Leven with a friend we knew it was going to be difficult as it was bright conditions without a cloud in the sky and a really cold north wind. However after about 15 minutes I had a fish on and it came off at the net !!!! Not a big fish but because Loch Leven fish are so hard to catch I wasn't happy.


David said at least we know they are here ! We kept fishing buzzers on a very long leader ( 30ft ) on a sink tip on a very long cast and we started getting bites. We ended up having 6 fish between us and a couple of absolute crackers over around the 4lb mark. Can' wait to get back and keep exploring this massive venue.
