Another year 2021 and I couldn't wait to go Grayling fishing. Checked all the restrictions and I was fine to fish on the 2nd January. When I got out the car it was -7.5, dark and basically freezing but I like a challenge! The river was about 2ft up, crystal clear and there was plenty of snow on the ground, I didn't think I had much of a chance. However it just shows you never let the weather put you off !!! 14 fish to the net and some fantastic scenery, hardly seen a soul all day.

If you fancy a Guided Grayling trip get in touch but remember your thermals.........

A normal winters day in Scotland, just above freezing, cloudy and fog rolling in!!! However never let the weather put you off fishing. Roy & Kari had this day booked with me for months and we were all excited and couldn't wait to get fishing.

Are target species was Pike but as thing turned out we caught a lot of Rainbow trout ! Totally unexpected but very welcome on such a cold day. The morning was good 6 fish to the net and the afternoon wow the action didn't stop. We ended the day with 15 fish ! The highlight had to be Roy's Pike which was well over 10lb and a perfect specimen. We had the whole Loch to ourselves all day and didn't see another person just what you need to relax and get away from it all. A fantastic day and one I will remember for a long time.

Winter Grayling fishing on the Tweed has been amazing this year with loads of crisp clear mornings. The fishing has been varied with fish being found in the deep pools and even the fast water on the coldest of days. Location is the key so if you fancy giving it a try get in touch and start planning your trip. #kingfisherguidesscotland #kingfisherguides #graylingfishing #graylingfishingscotland
